Committee Responsibilities:
The Ad Valorem Committee’s responsibilities are to provide an avenue and a source of information to those members of the LATA that are involved in the administration and/or collection of Ad Valorem taxes for their respective taxing authorities. By providing a forum to discuss and seek interpretive analysis of new and current statutes, the committee provides an opportunity for the individual to expand their understanding of Ad Valorem law and then utilize the knowledge gained in practical application.

Current Committee Activities & Goals:
The Committee’s goals for 2010 - 2011 are to complete the analysis of the laws passed in the 2010 regular legislative session. After this, a determination will be made as to how each has effected our Ad Valorem manual. The manual has been in draft and the final push to complete it was put on hold until the session was completed. We will continue to provide relative information to our members through our workshops/committee meetings and speakers on various informative topics on property tax issues.
